- This joint research project was an international collaboration between Tarbiat Modares University in Iran and Sultan Qaboos University in Oman. This paper presents a conceptual design and control of a novel gasoline direct injector (GDI) using giant magnetostricitve material, Terfenol-D. The experimental results including cold testes presented in the paper led to the development in the field of the injector (Zhou, sensors and actuators, 2019; Xue, Mat. & Des, 2016; Liu, J. Electronic Material, 2019).
