- This research arose from international collaboration between UH and Taiyuan University of Technology (TYUT) and led to a £72K research grant award from National Natural Science Research Foundation (U1607120) to support further development of the research areas. The research was recognised with the Shanxi Science and Technology Award in 2017. One patent (201610226707.3) from the output of this research has been granted. The research team have now established a new research collaboration with the Second Hospital of Shanxi Medical University on the back of this research.
