- This paper introduces new geometric constraints for use in the reconstruction of visible surfaces, based on stereo vision. These constraints are used in an iterative algorithm, which is evaluated on natural scenes. This work was part of an interdisciplinary collaboration with Dr A. Henshaw, in QMUL School of Geography. A geomorphological application was developed, for modelling river sediment distributions. The algorithm was demonstrated on a calibrated data-set, from a laboratory flume. This work was partially supported by an EPSRC grant to author MH (EP/M01469X/1). Author SA co-founded a medical robotics startup (www.scalpel.ai), after PhD graduation.
