- Double-weighted statement
- I would like my monograph 'A Virtuous Knight. Defending Marshal Boucicaut' to be double-weighted because it analyses a large body of material written in five different languages. The primary sources used for this 63,000 word-long book were mostly located in libraries in the UK, Belgium, France, Italy and the United States, necessitating several lengthy research trips. The book bridges a number of different areas of research including political, military and cultural history, and is an interdisciplinary study that draws together archival, literary and art historical evidence, and also addresses debates in French literary studies and art history.
