- This research was developed in partnership with The Expanded Metal Company as collaborative research. It developed their innovative foil product offering to provide a low-cost alternative to traditional metal foams. Current metal foams are both expensive and require high temperature processing. The research is now part of The Expanded Metal Company’s marketing and the novel manufacturing method is being commercialised (Product Manager, The Expanded Metal Company).
