- This paper is the result of an international collaboration between Durham and academics from three Russian institutions (Ioffe, Academic University, ITMO). It was an output from research conducted as part of the EU FP7 Nanoembrace Initial Training Network. The collaboration has continued through a follow up H2020 network project, INDEED, where ITMO University is an Associate Partner (with matched funding). Both Zeze and Gallant have held Visiting Professorships at ITMO University as a result of the collaboration.
