- This monograph is the culmination of over ten years fieldwork research on the grammar of bilingual code switching. The work involved extended field trips to Nigeria over the course of a decade to record Igbo-English bilinguals resident in the south-south Nigerian city of Port Harcourt. The large body of work required an extensive investigation into the mixing of both the morphosyntactic and morphophonological systems of Igbo and English by these Bilinguals, as well as into the language production systems underpinning the production of the mixed language data reported in the monograph.
