- Russian Theatre in Practice is an edited volume with ten contributors. It brings together leading scholars of Russian theatre from across the world to offer critical and practical perspectives on key twentieth century Russian and Soviet theatre directors. Skinner initiated the project, recruited contributors, and acted as the single editor for the volume. Skinner’s individual contribution includes the book’s introduction, conclusion and post-script, and one chapter (chapter two ‘Vsevolod Meyerhold: Creating an interdisciplinary mise-en-scène’), totalling c. 16,000 words.
