- The GMPR data compression-encryption methods are funded by Sheffield Hallam’s IAB-Innovation Advisory Board and led to awarded patents deriving from International Patent Application PCT/GB2016/050512 and commercial trials at DCO AI Inc, Arizona, US. The methods are designed to keep local server and cloud data safe giving users unmatched control of their data security while providing significant savings in storage space and bandwidth requirements. The Hexadata method described here is an extension of the technologies giving an extra layer of protection to the data in terms of encryption by multiple data-dependent keys, which may lead to new commercial opportunities.
