- Best Paper Award (top 1.5% of 722 submissions). The work combines research from multiple domains (HCI, Developmental Psychology, Psychiatry) to propose a new model of technology-based mental health intervention for children and families. Empirically, it draws on rigorous user-centred design process leading to a bespoke prototype, with promising real-world deployments. The prototype has since been commercialised by a non-profit (Committee for Children) and for-profit (Sproutel) company https://www.purrble.com/. Contact person Mia Doces (VP Innovation). Work led to further publication DOI:10.2196/14029; and is used by other groups (Oxford: Prof Jirotka, SFU: Prof Antle; UCCS: Prof Isbister; UCL: Prof Jewitt; UW: Prof Yip).
