- The use of network applications to manage network operations by the controller in SDN architecture introduces a threat that makes the controller to be susceptible to several network attacks. This paper proposes a novel Framework to secure the accessibility of network applications within the Software defined Network domain. The paper introduces a token-based authentication method that enables the controller to authenticate the various network applications. A full comparative and comprehensive analysis with other frameworks has been presented. The results shown the remarkable performance of the proposed trust framework towards achieving a secure, dependable and reliable controller to network applications interactions.
