- I led the activity to verify and validate the results for the inspiral search pipeline and waveform template bank used in this paper to detect gravitational waves from the coalescence of compact binaries both in low latency and off-line. I was also responsible for the validation and verification of the measurement background rate and detection significance, the robustness of the background estimate, possible sources of artefacts, variations of the detector noise around the candidate, assessment of the false alarm rate probabilities and checking the signal-to noise ratio and misfit values were within expectations, signing-off these parameters for the collaboration.
