- The paper explores vulnerabilities in the Electron JavaScript application framework and presents the Mayall Framework, an extensible toolkit aimed at JavaScript security auditing and post-exploitation analysis. Electron applications and its underlying Node.js runtime environment are continuing to grow in popularity. The Mayall framework presents a method of facilitating secure software development and has attracted international commercial interest (e.g., www.iota.org). The work demonstrates the urgent need for increased awareness and action in JavaScript security.
