- Double-weighted statement
- The book synthesised two sustained research projects from 2010 to 2014 focused on the contextual use of the location-based social media platform Foursquare. The book is the product of in-depth interviews with more than 50 users of the platform, where the data from the two authors needed to be reconciled, involving a careful examination of the concurrent thought and identification of cross-currents relevant to the production of this work. This involved re-evaluation and re-interpretation of the data and a careful repositioning of both research projects in the final book to reconceptualise effects on spatiality, temporality and identity through LBSN usage.
