- Reflecting notable intellectual scope in its originality, rigor, and significance, this book offers the first comprehensive study of differentiation in European integration. Resulting from a considerable academic investment, it presents a six-year investment in theory development, data collection, and analysis. The book examines differentiation across all member states based on the entire body of EU treaty law and legislation from 1952 to today. In addition, several chapters are devoted to salient cases including EU enlargement, the Euro crisis, Brexit, and the relations between the EU and neighbours in the wider European region.
