- This monograph is a long-form output of 90,000 words, based on three years of intensive practice-as-research with over 400 young people in total, as part of eight residencies which ranged between four weeks and two years in length. The research explored the practice of storytelling with adolescents in relation to a diverse range of youth contexts, from formal education, to alternative education provision, to a mental health setting, to youth work and youth theatre settings. This large body of primary research enabled the author to generate insights and a conceptual framework which transcend the specifics of context.
