- This was as a multi-component output from an AHRC-ESRC-funded project, Religion, Youth and Sexuality - a significant mixed-methods project, which involved 700 respondents, 61 interviewees and 24 video diarists, from several religious traditions. The project generated a large body of research material which needed careful analysis over an 8-year period. Given the paucity of research on young Buddhists – a difficult-to-access group - this element was separated out for further in-depth analysis. The original research revealed that young Buddhists were distinctive to other religious groups, creating a strong rationale for extending the primary sources to investigate their experiences in depth.
