- The sensor developed in this paper has been trialled on samples provided by Unilever Colworth (contact at Safety and Environmental Assurance Centre) and is being trialled at their pilot plant. It is anticipated that this sensor will allow Unilever to change their packaging from saying "May contain allergen" to "free from allergen". This paper contributed to an invited talk from the Royal Society of Chemistry''s Advances in Process Analytics and Control Technologies conference in 2018. This output led to a new line of research that has produced several publications in international refereed journals and conference presentations.
