- The results of this paper are important as they give solutions of analysis of structures containing uncertainties, modelled as interval fields, varying along the domain. The method is based on the Interval Finite Element Method (IFEM) and the paper also is gaining attention due to the details of the implementation in commercially available software such as Abaqus.
The results contained in the paper were presented at ECCOMAS Conference of Computational Modelling of Multi-Uncertainty and Multi-Scale Problems, Porto 12-14 September 2017 where the second author received the Young Researchers Award.
