- Double-weighted statement
- The first comprehensive curation and study of para-cinematic cultural activity spanning 2000-2014 – including multiplatform, online, mobile, touch-screen experiences, transmedia, live exhibition experiences, social films and networked stories. The book examines the complex impact of digital and online technologies upon audience experience and spectatorship practices. The theorisations are built on integrated analyses of industry process and apparatus (which has been elicited from a number of interviews undertaken by the author with industry figures, creators and commentators); textual readings (of both content and form) and audience reception (through audience analysis) which collectively shed light on the shifting ontological status of cinema.
