- This is one of the first approaches to combine network adaptation between virtual machines to simulate the behaviour of edge computing resources. This has been used by other members of the research community, such as in (https://doi.org/10.1109/TSUSC.2019.2907405). The proposed approach can be used to benchmark techniques to support service fragmentation across edge, network and cloud services. Experimental results can be used as a basis for resource capacity planning in edge computing systems.
