- Global Cities and Global Order is a long form monograph and the winner of the internationally prestigious ECPR Hedley Bull Prize (2018), awarded for substantial and original contribution to theory in International Relations. It represents the culmination of ten years of ground-breaking complex research into the relationship between cities and geopolitics, considering hundreds of sources across international relations, political science, urban sociology, economic sociology, and history. Some of the research was supported by a £50,000 scholarship from the LSE, while study leave from the University of East Anglia made it possible to devote a sustained period to the project’s completion.
