- English abstract
- This essay focuses on the multicultural borderland of the Prussian province of Posen from the 1880s to 1918. It develops an historical perspective on the cultural contextualisation and ethnic/national representations of venereal disease. In particular, it argues that these can be used by historians to examine contemporary attitudes to national dangers and degeneration, social hierarchy, and sexual education.<br/>
