- This 300 page book is the product of sustained research collaboration and analyses the prevalence and development of violence across late 20th and early 21st century culture. Drawing on consideration of a range of contemporary phenomena including mass surveillance, militarization, media, wealth inequality, and terrorism, the book argues that we have been become desensitized to, and desirous of, violence. As such, it is the result of a complex and extended process of creative investigation.
