- This is the first model describing solid-solution hardening (SSH) in high entropy alloys (HEAs). As one of the central concepts in HEAs is single-phase stabilisation, the ability to describe SSH in such highly concentrated systems played a key role in the design of new systems by groups across the world, including Nantes, France (Prof Tancret, franck.tancret@univ-nantes.fr) and Texas A&M (Prof Arroyave, raymundo.arroyave@tamu.edu). It was also key to the acquisition of grants for alloy design using the model (CADORS, EU Grant agreement ID: 656249), where the model use has been reported, as it has for Ni, steel and Ti alloys design.
