- This paper develops a unified theoretical perspective and five propositions that support the creation of sustainable business models. Supported by EPSRC (EP/L019914/1, £353k) and (EP/I033351/1, £5.2m), this work builds the theoretical foundation for the emerging field of business model innovation for sustainability and circular economy. It has been applied by over 5 research groups worldwide in their research including University of Sao Paulo, Brazil (e.g. Prof. Jana Costa, janainacosta@usp.br). This work has built the theoretical foundations for new grants including H2020 SCALER and Royal Society-Newton Mobility Grant (NMG\R1\191115).
