- This is a detailed theoretical and numerical work in a simplified setting for understanding stably stratified turbulence commonly observed in oceans and atmosphere. This paper delved deeper into the celebrated Bolgiano-Obukhov dual scaling phenomenology for moderately stability stratified turbulence, and we found that such dual scaling is absent under standard conditions, only one scaling exists. We also derived the extreme conditions for which dual scaling may be observed. This work has been presented in European Turbulence Conference 2019, and is cited by leading researchers in this field, like Prof. Bhattacharjee (IACS), Prof. Basu (Delft), and Prof. He (Iowa State).
