It analyses the functioning of the party structures in charge of economic studies, and their economic ideas. It provides a sociological description of the economic experts involved in. It shows a common economic culture shared by the French and the Italian communisms and highlights some differences: the intellectual profile of the leading group, and a specific relationship with intellectuals in the ICP; the importance of the trade-unions economic expertise, and the circulation of the Soviet economic literature in the Fcp.
