- This 349-page monograph presents a critical analysis of a time of great change in the Middle East as the spotlight has turned on Iran and Turkey’s dynamic re-entry onto the political stage. The book aims to reveal the main factors influencing Iranian and Turkish foreign policies since 1979 and places them in a theoretical framework for the first time. To achieve this, the book examines international relations from a multi-actor perspective on both regional and global levels but shifts the focus from predominantly concentrating on major international powers to examine the crucial roles played by regional powers and non-state entities.
