- Thomas contributed substantially to the development of the analysis pipeline based on the full spectral fitting code FIREFLY developed in Portsmouth as well as the scientific analysis of this paper. The first author, Goddard, was a PhD student at Portsmouth under Thomas' supervision and Thomas was the second author and one of two corresponding authors. The initial draft of the paper was written by Goddard, with Thomas providing key input throughout.
