- A sustained research effort over several years. Extended research in 2014-2018 developed the project substantially from origins in PhD work conducted from 2010-2014, adding complexity and broadening the materials researched. The book advances a new unified theory of bankruptcy law, reviewing an extensive range of academic literature across several disciplines and perspectives. It required the collection of administrative data, policy documents, and court judgments. Many of these sources have not previously been analysed in depth. Research has involved considerable collaboration/consultation, including the discussion of ideas at international research conferences.
