- This is a seminal article on radio resource management for vehicle to grid communications and electric vehicle (EV) association with the critical load mitigating severity of prolonged outages. This work has enabled Dr Shakir to be selected by Scottish Parliamentary Corporate Body as an expert on energy for the period 2020-2023. The idea has also led to the development of mobile App with the results published in the subsequent article in IEEE Consumer Electronics Magazine, Dec 2020. This work has played a key role in drawing together international collaborators from York University, Canada.
