- This paper formed the basis of a successful collaboration with Prof Clemens Gühmann (TU Berlin, Germany). Supported by three mobility grants, the paper led to the exchange of 4 researchers between Bath and Berlin. The paper is the first to validate a thermal model of an axial flux permanent magnet motor with contact temperature measurements on the rotor. The modelling approach was used within an Innovate UK funded project of total value £177k to the University of Bath (DIET).
