- This paper determines the significant variables in rainfall runoff process to build a hybrid rainfall runoff model. This new methodology has been applied in two subsequent GCRF projects: HEFWC GCRF SP93, 'Flood and drought forecasting and early warning system for Atibaiai River Basin' in collaboration with Campinas Brazilian Water Research Centre (£34k), and WP3, GCRF Catalyst 'Transforming Resilience across Water and Food Systems' (£860k), and formed the basis of a secondment at the Met Office by Bray investigating climate impacts on flooding.
