- This paper resulted from an international collaborative project encompassing UK, Chinese and European universities funded by China Scholarship Council. State-of-the-art nano analytical tools including the highest resolution transmission electron microscopy used to capture the evolution of undesirable phase formation during high temperature exposure. This limited the exposure conditions for alloys used in critical applications to enhance passenger carrier safety criteria. The work was invited for presentation in Thermec 2020 (Austria) and Future Forge Workshop (Glasgow) and based on the outcomes further international funding was obtained (Mihuie Chong: PhD student).
