- Paper presents clinical implementation of a new CT scan protocol for monitoring implant performance. Prior to this work loosening of implants could not be assessed from standard CT scans available at most hospitals. Consequently, at least two major hospitals, in London and Paris: Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon, St Mary's Hospital, London (contact: FoEREF@ic.ac.uk); Professor Masmejean, George Pompidou Hospital, Paris (FoEREF@ic.ac.uk) have changed routine clinical practice for shoulder replacement patients. The methodology of this work is part of the Wellcome Trust Translational Award, 098269/Z/12/Z, £1M.
