- This substantial single-authored book is the product of the collation and analysis of an exceptionally rich database of over 80,000 contextualised archaeological objects from over 100 settlements and 3250 graves from Iron Age to Roman northwest Europe. The database, which comprises material from the modern countries of Belgium, Britain, France, Germany, Luxembourg and the Netherlands, is extensively interrogated using a range of innovative statistical analyses in over 90 figures and 50 tables. These results drive a sustained and original narrative concerning the big picture of cultural change, as experienced at pan-regional and local levels.
