- This output arose from twenty months of British Academy-funded archival research and thus reflects sustained research effort that produced a c. 200,000 word monograph. The research collects and analyses the holding of five major German archives and generates an extended and complex piece of research that spans a fifty-year period, assessing one of the most significant theatre companies of the twentieth century.
