- This is the first paper to provide the new insight of magneto hydrodynamic (MHD) flow control methods with the combination of non-thermal plasma and to solve aerodynamics heating and communication blackout problems during hypersonic flights. This paper provided the core knowledge to advance the technology on maintaining continuous communication during hypersonic flight, which was never solved since the first manned space flights. The outcome of this paper led to secure an additional funding from the Sir Ross and Sir Keith Smith Fund and initiated a new research collaboration with the University of Adelaide (Prof. Bassam Dally).
