- Network functions virtualisation (NFV) is one of the enabling technologies of 5G. This paper provides a solid solution to improve the robustness and efficiency of the crucial NFV services in dynamic networks. This research has successfully supported two grants from both industry and EPSRC (EP/R030863/1), and inspired many follow-up innovations in academia (e.g., 10.1109/TNSE.2020.2976697 and 10.1109/TSUSC.2019.2905728). This paper was selected to include in the Scanning The Literature of IEEE Network in 2019. The Scanning aims to bring the state-of-the-art of networking research to readers. This research has also led to an invited keynote speech in an international workshop in 2019.
