- Published in 2019, the research for this monograph spanned 6 years, and was initially supported through an Australian Research Council Post-Doctoral Fellowship (2013-2015) undertook at the University of Canberra, Australia. Comprising two parts, Part One of the text highlights the neglect of theories of agency in conceptions of political behaviour. Part Two, the empirical component of the book explores two cases: the UK-riots of 2011; and in-depth interviews documenting internal political conversations. Theoretically innovative and empirical rich, this book helps to navigate and extend existing debates by addressing key underlying conceptual tensions which to date remain unaddressed.
