- This paper, in a Q1 journal, reports on the first investigation of the radiation response to helium ions of this novel material. This work in collaboration with Imperial College London, Bangor University and the industrial partner Tokamak Energy Ltd, is aimed at finding materials able to withstand the fusion environment in innovative small fusion reactors. This paper led to the understanding that it is important to reduce the number of secondary phase particles which act as nucleation sites for large bubbles, as stated in the review article (10.1098/rsta.2017.0443) in Philosophical Transactions A.
