- Archiving version of substantially extended original work presented at IROS 2014 (one of the top robotics conferences), which was a finalist for three separate best paper awards and which itself is not returned. Develops underwater bio-robotic systems inspired by the outstanding locomotion and manipulation characteristics of the octopus. This work was a key output of a large EU grant, and was the basis for several follow-on grants and industrial collaborations.
