- Smith has a track record in the study of exotic neutron-deficient nuclei north-east of doubly magic Sn100 (Z=50, N-50) going back 25 years. Smith is the corresponding author of this paper and was the PhD supervisor of the first author (Wady). Smith conceived and wrote the experimental proposal and was spokesperson for the experiment which took place at JYFL in Finland.
