- Additional information
- Making decisions means evaluating multiple, competing, criteria. For example, choosing a car is often a balance of fuel efficiency, size, and price. Each individual may weigh these different aspects differently and understanding how this weighting may change the single "best" choice is the challenge of multi-criteria decision making. This paper introduces a novel visualization for understanding how weight changes affect the preference order of options additionally supporting reproducible selection. Weightlifter is integrated into the commercially available Visplore application which spawned a dedicated startup called Visplore (https://visplore.com/). Results were presented at the top visualization conference (IEEEVis 2016) in the field.
