- Double-weighted statement
- This monograph provides a ground-breaking exploration of the post-revolutionary political landscape in Prussia. It is based on six years of archival and library research in Germany. This sustained research effort means that each of the 6 chapters in the monograph rests on original sources. Moreover, the chapters cover distinct themes ranging from state policies towards crime and punishment, to press management. The analysis of political change in Prussia, extensive in its own right, is also placed within a comparative German and European framework. Arguments advanced by the work therefore have extensive purchase.
