- The work paved the way for a new major theme on gas kinetic methods by the UK consortium on mesoscale engineering sciences, and led to two EPSRC-funded projects to exploit this new modelling capability (EP/M021475/1: £379,691; EP/R041938/1: £373,234). It contributed to a new research collaboration with Chinese Aerodynamic Research and Development Centre [contact available], which was initiated by the Royal Academy of Engineering’s Distinguished Visiting Fellowship. It led to a keynote talk at the 10th International Conference on Computational Physics, Macau, 16-20 January 2017.
