- A novel approach to finding video quality levels in low grade optical equipment is developed for NAO robot-based applications, leading to the definition of general guidelines on the optimal data format and size needed for a robot to perform real-time tasks on the cloud. Thus, the NAO cloud robotic system can be used more efficiently when a limited cloud-robot network bandwidth is available. The ideas were developed in further publications by co-authors on remote access to robotic platforms and teleoperation e.g. https://www.researchgate.net/publication/332179768_A_Collaborative_Cloud-based_FR_Approach_for_Humanoid_robots , and https://www.researchgate.net/publication/332179876_Clone-based_Cloud_Robotics_System_for_Robot_Teleoperation , and led to co-author Aagela's 2019 thesis on Cloud Robotics http://eprints.hud.ac.uk/id/eprint/35110/.
