- I was convener of the software group (~30 staff & students), the main technical expert for calibration of the data, and run-coordinator with responsibility for data taking for the Near Detector data. This paper is the first generally accepted observation of neutrino flavour appearance, and also confirmed that all the 'last' element of the neutrino mixing matrix are large. The analysis in this paper relies on the Near Detector data to constrain systematic uncertainties.
