- This paper is the result of an ongoing collaboration between researchers in the UK, Brazil and Japan, and presents the mathematical formalisation and computational implementation of a modular framework for instantiating variants of a popular algorithm for multi-objective optimisation. This approach is aimed at facilitating rapid prototyping and testing as well as for easier reproducibility in the area of evolutionary multiobejctive optimisation. Both the paper and the associated R package (https://cran.r-project.org/package=MOEADr) are Open Access. According to download statistics from CRAN the computational package has been downloaded around 14,000 times since it was first made public.
